Introduction
The goal of Thomas, the mind behind RentFund, was to develop an app that would simplify rent payments. He wanted to offer a seamless, efficient, and engaging platform where tenants could manage their rent payments and landlords could verify and track these transactions. The concept included a reward system to incentivize tenants and features like automatic payments and investment options.
Challenge
The RentFund project presented several unique challenges. First, ensuring secure and efficient rent payment verification required robust subscription-based features. We also helped him implement a reward system that credits 5% back on rent payments to subscribed tenants and tracked all the rent payments and rewards.
Developing a platform like this required adherence to the highest security standards. We had to ensure it included secure storage for user data and financial information, to comply with data protection regulations and maintain user trust.
Solution
The flexibility of building a no-code MVP with Glide was crucial to RentFund's success. It allowed the team to quickly pivot and make adjustments to find the perfect product-market fit. This agility, in turn, enabled them to position the product effectively to attract investors and secure funding for further development.
To oversee all aspects of the app’s operation, the app includes an admin panel to manage user accounts and subscriptions, review and approve rent payment verification requests, and track app usage and user activity. Of course, RentFund was also developed with scalability in mind, it's ready to grow with its user base and to allow for easy implementation of future features.
Results
Building a no-code MVP allowed the RentFund team to quickly demonstrate the viability of their solution, which in turn helped them attract investment for further development. RentFund reached a $3M valuation on a very successful funding round. Furthermore, RentFund's user-friendly interface and intuitive design reduced rent payment processing time by a remarkable 50%, making it quicker and more convenient for tenants to pay their rent.
